How do I open an .ssm (Samsung S Memo) file on my PC?

Hi,
    A quick question for anybody familiar with this: I've created a backup of my Samsung Galaxy S 3 phone through Kies3 and sent my device for repair. Now I am trying to access the S Memo (notes) from the backup created but I can't open the file from my Windows machine. Is there a way I can open the ssm file?
